Jinhua has 4 seasons belonging to the climate of subtropical monsoon. The average temperature is 16 to 18 degree with 1303 -1421 mm rainfall annually. The city has rich woods resources and red soil. The biggest river running through it is Jinhua river (also called Wu river) that runs through Lan River , Fuchun River and Qiantang River .
