See a bit of China before it gets westernized, a China where there is no Micky D's, KFC, Pizza Hut or Starbucks... THE REAL CHINA

It's a nice flat place to ride a bike (IF I had one) and go to the countryside to observe people farming, mostly by hand.  This China has a bright blue sky and puffy white clouds that can't be found everywhere. Birds chirp and sing just as the kids do.  I've never heard so much music in the schools. Happy, excited students are waiting to meet you and become your friend. They really want to learn English. Being a foreigner here is a bit like being a minor celebrity... a new face from the west. The West is just now coming and it is maybe a bit scary to them. They need you to show them that the West can be good. Many have never seen a westerner before, a smile and knee how (however you spell it) and you have made a friend. West is meeting East and wouldn't it be good if it was based on a relationship of friendship. "Oh yes I met a nice westerner, they are good people!!"  And when you get back home, "Yes China is a great place to go, the people couldn't be nicer." It's very safe here too.  This opportunity is soon dwindling, China is changing fast. 

If you are looking for a place to be appreciated, to try your own thing, to mingle with the locals then this is the place. Come and engross yourself in China, be a part of them! Enjoy a new way to go about living!!
