Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology, named after the world-famous physicist, the late Dr.Wu Chien-shiung, is a full-time institution for higher education, mainly training senior vocational talents. The institute is agreeably situated in Taicang, a beautiful port city at the mouth of Yangtze River, neighboring Shanghai to the south and Suzhou to the west.

The institute covering an area of 242 mu with floorage of 86,000 square meters, has two scenic and well laid-out campuses and modern facilities. A new campus of 500 mu is under construction. The institute has more than 6,000 students and 265 full-time teachers (over 60 teachers hold senior technical titles), owning 10 departments and 8 skill-training centers.

The institute is totally committed to fostering highly-advanced practical talents and capabilities whilst adhering to the dual concepts of offering education for the students' employment prospects, and meeting the needs of our society.

The institute is strong in the majors of electronic mechanics, molding, electronics, garment designing and processing as we have a reservoir of teachers with rich experience in both teaching and application. Over the past few years, we have made major investment in the improvement of our hardware and resources.
